About the event

Join artists Annie Murdock and Ralph Nel in celebration of Earth Day and Ygdrassil (the Norse World Tree Day).

On this contemplative ramble into central Exeter’s Lower Hoopern Valley, we will spend time beneath the ancient oaks experimenting with the age-old technique of silverpoint drawing.

During this slow-paced walk we will make our way into the valley, ground ourselves through a short movement meditation, and experience the unique process of silverpoint drawing- - where every mark is a  co-creation with nature through the process of oxidation.

Through sensorial awareness,  we celebrate our inter-dependency with all life forms, and hope to offer a meditative pause in which we might appreciate a sense of wonder and connection through walking and drawing.
